    Hi

    Hi I'm Tony
I am retired now and spent all my life working with PCs rather than Macs. However I recently discovered the iPhone and got hooked. The iPhone went on the blink and because I am bought in Australia, it's going to take some time to have repaired. In the meantime I bought an IPad (WiFi connection only). I love the integration between audio, visual (photo and video), GPS, etc. It seems that the IPad has opened new horizons for portable computing.
I have a special interest because I am becoming increasingly disabled with Parkinson's disease. The iPad seems a wonderful way to bring computing power with me wherever I am. Its keyboard is accessible to a degree but it seems that I also have the capacity to use Dragon NaturallySpeaking which I use on my main PC -- I still have to check out how good this is.
I have a problem at the moment with WiFi that I will post that on the relevant forum.

Welcome to the forum. Hopefully you will be with us for years to come. I don't know how far your disease has progressed (and its none of my business), but here is a link to a free app that might come in handy at some point down the road: App Shopper: Phrase Board (Medical)

It is an app for the iPad with 2 big buttons for YES and NO plus other useful phrases for those times when you have difficulty communicating with a caregiver.

Hi Tony. You sure type well.

Not too certain how well Dragon will do on the iPad due to it's innate limitations but we would love to hear how you get on with it so please give us some feedback in the future.
