Got an iPad 1as a gift when my uncle upgraded to ipad2. My cz n son downloaded lots of apps and it asks me to update and I did some and it worked but now I can't seem to update anything

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

We have just had an update for the iPad and when this happens all apps are also updated to run on the system. Has your iPad been updated? Look in Settings - General - About and look for version. We are now on 5.1 what does yours say? The updates you have may be for 5.1 and if your iPad isn't, they will not update. Let us know and we can guide you through the update.
