New to iPad
Hi! My name is Crystal. I recently just acquired my boyfriend's iPad 2, as he upgraded to the iPad 3.
I love Apple products. I own an iPhone, MacBook Pro, and have had an iPod for years (classic).
I just want to get the most out of my iPad, I mostly use it in non-wifi areas. Eventually I think I may add a hot-spot device to my collection. For now I want to find some free Kindle books to try it out and I am trying to find the best/cost efficient Bible Study App. I am taking a bible study class through my Catholic parish and I would like to have a great resource to compliment it with great notes, preferable Audio, and if not "bank-breaking" other tools such as artwork, maps, etc.

Hello Crystal! Welcome to our Forum. If you don't have the Kindle app on your handmedown iPad 2, get it BUT you will also have to find your books on the Safari Browser by going to amazon.com. Once you find your free books, click on buy it and the bowser will send the book to your Kindle app. Open Kindle app and the book can be read in the app.

If you upgrade you'll get several versions of the Bible. You also get maps, pictures, artwork in the app.
There are many apps you can find in the appstore. One app I would also get is the Appshopper app. You can use that app to find apps in the Appstore. The Appstore is so large it is hard to find apps. This Appshopper app simplifies the process. It will also give you alerts on price reductions of various. You can establish a wish list. And you have several ways to search.
I hope you will find this forum useful. In a moment or two, you get a moderator to welcome you more officially with many informative links in their response to you. Be sure to go into those links as they are very helpful.
