Hi all, my first post on this forum. I had a couple of issues with new IPad , my wife was selling her old IPad one. After deactivating her device via iTunes and connecting her new IPad 3?? iTunes identifies it as an Ipad2. Rang Apple Tech Support , they told me it was correct, it will always show up as an IPad 2, reason is there is no IPad 3 it is known by Apple as iPad 2 3rd Generation. I hope this may explain why the new IPad comes up in ITunes the way I have explained for those concerned.
