I have a new gmail account on my iPad 2, and I have synced my contacts (address book) from the iMac.
But gmail apparently can't find my contacts' email addresses. Do I have to type them in each time?
Thanks for any input.

Thanks, Leelai. Followed the instructions, but couldn't get past the dialog box where a 'server' was required. Tried 'Verizon' , but that didn't work. Any other suggestions? I'd really like to get iPad to recognize my contacts.
Alternatively, is there a different web-mail account which might be better on the iPad? Hotmail?
Thanks again.
Nick
Did you follow the instructions for the server partOriginally Posted by purbrookian
10. When the new Server field appears, enter m.google.com.
11. Press Next at the top of your screen again.
If you didn't try again.
Gmail is a very popular one, maybe even the preferred.

Thanks again Leelai. Will try again stat. Your time is appreciated.

Each time I reach the 'exchange' page, it informs me that the account already exists, and I can go no farther. And it still doesn't recognize my contacts.
But thanks anyway, Leelai.
