    Photos in the Cloud

I have recently inherited an IPad from my wife (who is far more "techy" than I am!) and have synced with my phone (Iphone4S). This may seem like a very basic question but pics that I have deleted from my phone have now arrived on my IPad and there seems to be no delete option. The only option seems to be to turn off the ICloud and delete all the cloud pics from my IPad, which seems a little extreme. I don't need or want every pic I have ever taken on my IPad. Any suggestions?

If you update to iOS 5.1, you'll be able to delete individual photos from photo stream. If you don't upgrade, you can only turn on or off the whole photo stream; no deleting individual photos.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Having Photo Stream activated on both your iPhone and iPad will mean that any photo taken on these devices will automatically stream to the other and as Kaykaykay says you will only be able to delete them all if you stay on the current OS, although you can save the ones you want to your camera roll before deleting.
