Wife and I have the Ipad2 and updated to OS5.1. Our settings as far as I can tell are the same. Hers will power down almost completely over night. Mine holds it power level. This may be a dumb question but my cover is the one that closes with magnet and hers is a slip-in Belkin. Neither manually shut down our IPads at night. Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Have you activated the settings? Settings - General here you can set the auto lock after a set time and there is also a setting for the cover to lock/unlock.
