Would like to know how to check deleted text messages and call history
Welcome to the iPad Forum. Hope you enjoy your stay.
I'm not at all sure that it's possible. Once things are deleted from the iPhone they are gone for good. There is no equivalent of the "recycle bin". it might be worth asking the same question at the iPhone Forum
Someone there may be able to help.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!
I agree with Kevin here I think if you delete texts there is no way to get them back. As for call history press phone, then Recents, this will show you the calls received and made. The calls made are signified by the phone hand piece under the name or number, press the arrow on the right and this will give you the call details. There is a missed call section also.

Thank you for the advice can anyone tell me how to get rid of the volume icon of my I phone4 stuck on it for the last few days didn't drop the phone or anything just appered
You could try a reboot. Hold the standby and home buttons until the Apple logo appears, the release them. The phone will restart, and hopefully it will be gone. Let us know if it works. If not, we can try something else.Originally Posted by dermotohara

This has been a problem for a few iPad users also, i cant remember what the solution was though, doing a search will find some threads on it but I would try a reset and hope that clears it. This will not change anything on your phone, so don't worry. Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you will see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start.Originally Posted by dermotohara

Sorry Kevin didn't realize you had jumped in first, I shouldn't take a phone call whilst composing a post.![]()

That's OK. Better for two to answer than none.Originally Posted by leelai

That worked cheers not use to the new phone just got it do you if there is a settin on the phone to keep text or back them son using phone from time to time would like to keep an eye on him does that phone spy workOriginally Posted by KevinJS
Phone spy? That's a new one on me. I don't think there's a way of stopping someone deleting messages and calls, but there are other aspects of the phone that you can control. Go to Settings/General/Restrictions and there is a whole bunch of stuff in there that you can lock up, and password.
