I've powered down... I've shut down all open apps... Still stuck... The bezel at the upper left hand that spins when the iPad is thinking it spins nonstop help help help

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

So you've closed all your apps in the multi task bar and done a restart, well I think you should do a reset and see how that goes.
Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you will see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start. Try this then let us know how you go.

It didn't work.... Still not sending emails bevel still spinning

Did you try to send an email before this started? What was in the email, did you have any attachments, like photos? I remember the first time I ever sent a photo in an email, I didn't convert it and it took forever to send, I'm wondering if this is the case here. Can you receive emails? Let us know.
