    Android & iPad User

Hello...new to the forum & soon to be new to ipad. I just ordered an Apple Certified Refurbished 16gb iPad 2. I currently only own Droids...Acer Iconia A500, Motorola Droid Bionic, Viewsonic gTablet, and the Original Motorola Droid. I bought the iPad because I'm a teacher and my school uses primarily iPads for staff & students. As much as I love Android, the Apple Appstore has far more apps dealing with education. I'm looking to use the iPad for grading & attendance...but I also will use many of the fitness apps in the appstore (I teach physical education). I'm still primarily a Droid (I know I'll get flamed!) but I am smart enough to see that each format has it's pluses & minuses. I'm hoping now to have the best of both worlds!

I've learned a lot in regards to Android...rooting (jailbreaking), flashing roms, tweaking internal settings, etc from forums such as this. I'm hoping all of you can teach me some of the same as those wonderful members of the Droid Community!

Sorry leelai...I didn't mean to be too sarcastic...I just figured not too many people here would welcome me with open arms with "Android" in the subject line...so I got the "automated response". I checked the links out prior to posting...yes they are very useful...thanks for sharing them!

Welcome aboard. I have an Ipad 2 and a Droid X for a phone... I won't give up my X for anything so don't feel alone.

I didn't really think you were being sarcastic, there are many members here with Android phones, it's cool, we welcome everyone. That's the welcome I give all new members, it's not automated. I'm sure others will welcome you here also, we are a very friendly Forum as I'm sure you will find.
