My Mom wouldn't even try to learn how to operate a VCR. I am willing to try 'new', but am afraid when I do, as I usually mess up or break something. Even just this page has taken over half an hour as I am not sure what is wanted here.

Just looked below and saw headings: Trackback, Tags, Thread, Subscription, Post a Poll. WHAT? I know I am behind, so where can I get clued-in as to what these terms want or expect of me. Where can I get some explanations? My 37 year old son tries to explain things to me (long-distance) and he knows to keep it simple, expecially w/o pictures.

I have an iPad and iphone and know I am utilizing probably less than 1% of their capability.

You might want to try the forum app (the link is below in my post) as I think it may be easier for you to use......it is for me!

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.

Remember, search is your friend. If you can't find the answer you need and you post a question then give as much info as you can to help members help you i.e. iPad 1 or 2, iOS version and name of app if the problem is with a specific app........and please don't forget to read the rules Forum rules - everybody please read!!

Nothing is expected of you. If you're not familiar, best to explore and read threads.

If you have a question, it's probably been answered before, and the search function is useful for finding existing answers.

If you can't find answers with search, dive in and create a thread.

Don't worry about any of the stuff you don't understand right off. You don't have to use any features you're not familiar with.

Trackback is for people who want to link.
Tags are categories that you can attach to threads.
Subscription is whatever you want to subscribe to, as in threads you want to revisit and be updated on.
Post a Poll is so people can create polls with threads.
