This has to be done from within the photos app!

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Photos can be attached in an email, go to the photos app select your photo by long pressing it and Copy will pop up, press Copy, return to your email and long press on the screen and Paste will appear, press paste and your photo will appear in your email. You can also send an email from the photo app also.
