Hi, I am absolutely new at all this. I am retired, older than most of you.

I have made a decision to go totally Mac based. Have bought this iPad2 a week ago having owned an iPhone for 3 years. Am also buying an iMac next week. I guess my reasoning is that I will have a totally ingtegrated system used by a lot of smart & creative people. But I am an absolute beginner. My first question is how do I send existing excel files from my pc to the iPad and then collate them into folders so that I can then hook the iPad to an LCD projector. I must add that if someone helps me on these start up questions they will never hear the end of me !!!!

For transference of files, in either direction, I'd suggest using the DropBox App, it's free for up to 2GB of storage and is integrated in most of the popular apps. They also have a free App for both PC's and Mac's so you drag a file into DropBox and it miraculously appears wherever you have another DropBox App.

If you want to hook the iPad up wirelessly then you may want to look at Apple TV, your projector would need to be able to take an HDMI feed though.
