Hello fellow ipaddies

I have joined this forum mainly to try and understand the full potential of the ipad in combination with my iMac & iPhone in my household. It's my first iPad and I am new to iOS.

One of the things that interests me most at the moment is the use of VPN to enable BBC iPlayer to work here in Italy where I live. in theory it sounds like good value ( I have been looking at HMA in particular) but seems it is not without it's problems, particularly with OS Lion. Does anyone out there have any experience with iPad and HMA and care to enter into a discussion?

Hi there Rupe and welcome.

You shouldn't need VPN for iPlayer as there is an international version of the app available now.

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.

Remember, search is your friend. If you can't find the answer you need and you post a question then give as much info as you can to help members help you i.e. iPad 1 or 2, iOS version and name of app if the problem is with a specific app........and please don't forget to read the rules Forum rules - everybody please read!!

You can download the manual for your iPad here http://support.apple.com/manuals/ and in iBooks search for "iPad user guide for" and you will find free comprehensive manuals for both iOS 4 and 5.
