    Loved my ipad

    Hey,

Been an iPad user for over 15 months. iPad 32g 3G. I used to use it everyday, especially when I travel which is monthly. So bummed now. About 3 weeks ago 3/4 of my screen went black. I can still rotate and use the touch screen on the areas outside of the black but the black area stays in the same place. It's never been dropped and I carry it in a case when I travel. Ive looked all over the internet for a fix or repair, but found nothing. I'm taking it to the Apple store next week. In the meantime looking into replacing it or moving up into an ipad2.
Would rather have mine working again so if anyone knows something please tell away.

    Cheers.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

I'd be upset too if that happened to my iPad, I've seen that happen to iPods but they were pressed against something hard for a period of time and damaged that way. Apple would seem the best idea here and I hope you get lucky there also!

Hi I just got the iPad 2 as a gift. I plugged it in and the connector pointing to iTunes appears on my screen? Do I have to connect it to iTunes to get it to work? Shouldn't it come fully loaded and ready to work?

I believe you have to sync it, set it up, and get iCloud up and running if you want, then it's good to go.

No, that's why there's picture indicating that you have to synch it to iTunes.
