When reading the wall street journal on my iPad, I can watch videos but can not hear them. Any suggestions?

In regard to your question, you haven't inadvertently muted your iPad by the little slide switch on the top right hand side have you? Also have a look here, do the four finger swipe up or double tap the home button to bring up your multi task bar at the bottom of your page. Finger swipe to the right as far as you can go and you will see a volume slide here. Let us know if this doesn't fix the problem and we'll give you a few more steps to try.
