While on Facetime and surfing other programs.. my Facetime all of the sudden stopped working, then Safari stopped working and skype.. has anyone had the same problems tonight?

All is working for me, but try rebooting the iPad, it may be stuck or you have an app that is leaking and preventing other apps to start. When my iPad starts having strange behaviors, it is often due to a lack of memory, hold by another app that is not behaving as expected. I remember that I had to delete some free apps because of this. One of them was an app watcher to check what was new in the AppStore (PandoraBox?). I removed it, and all was back to normal.

Your wifi didn't drop out did it? Check to see if your internet is working, you could have a problem in your area.
