Can you take a screenshot of the last screen that you can get to and post it on here (to take a screenshot hit the on/off and home buttons together briefly). The resulting image will be in your photos folder.

I did take the picture of it, selected that picture, hit "copy", went back to the reply box in this thread, placed the cursor in the box, but could not paste the image there. What am I doing wrong?

Ok, things work a bit differently to that in the iOS world.....are you using the forum App or Safari App to access the forum?

Safari . Not an app, just regular, old Internet.

Ok, if you are on your computer you do this (I think), in the reply box you will see some icons running along the top, there is one to the right that looks like a picture (to the left of a film strip icon) click this and navigate to your picture.

You can only do this on Safari on your PC/Mac, it won't work on Safari on your iPad. On the iPad I use the free IPF App and use the advanced options to upload a picture to the forums.

It did......although I'm now even more confused.

Just to check, in that screen, if you tap on the photo it won't open?
Can you slide your finger left to right quickly across the image, what happens?
Can you touch and hold the image for say around 3 seconds, do any options appear?

After all that, if nothing works, can you confirm what version of iOS you are running!

None of those things works, except when I held my finger on it, the COPY icon thing came up. I clicked on it, and was able to paste it in an email.

I think this is the version: 4.3.5 (8L1)

    Here we go again.......

Close the photo app. Double click the home button, a bar should open up at he bottom of the screen, touch and hold the photo app icon in the bar, a minus sign should appear in the top left hand corner, touch it to close the app completely.

Now, press the home button once and open the photo app when the home screen reappears, see if you can open the image now.....if not try this.....

Press and hold the on/off button until the red slider appears, slide to off. Give it 10 seconds and restart your iPad (if it doesn't start press the on/off and home buttons together then restart). Try to open the photo again to delete......if that doesn't work......

    We'll try something else!

IT WORKED!!!!!!!! Thank you soooooo much! You're a genius!
Should I worry that it was caused by a virus or being hacked, or just chalk it up to a fluke??
