Can you simply email them to yourself from the Nokia and receive that information on the iPad. Any contact information arriving in an email on the iPad is recognised as such and you'll be offered the opportunity to add it to the iPad Contacts database.

The other option is to sync online. If your phone can sync with Google Contacts, it is possible to sync the iPad to Google Contacts as well. If the phone can export the contacts as a csv or vCard file, that can also be imported into Google Contacts, and then synced back to the iPad.
There may be more options with iOS 5 and iCloud in a couple of days. If it is like MobileMe (and it is supposed to be) then you will be able to import vCard files to iCloud and sync. Have to wait and see.
