Very day I get this message from the Forum. I'm sure I posted an introduction thread right at the outset. What do I need to do now?

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!
Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.
Have fun and enjoy your iPad

Welcome, from Cali!
First off, welcome! Good to "see" you here.
This thread may keep showing up in your forum settings because you are still subscribed to it. So, you will always be told when it gets updated ... and, since it's for new introductions - it's going to get updated a lot!
So, if you no longer are interested in getting updates to this thread (or any thread, for that matter): With the thread open, go to the top of the thread, and you'll see a link there titled "Thread Tools." Clicking (or pressing if you are on the iPad in a web browser) on that link gives you a drop-down window with options, one of which is to "Unsubscribe from this Thread." When you select that, you'll no longer receive updates.
Or, if you are using the IPF app on your iPad - again, have the thread open. In the top right hand corner of the thread is a curvy arrow. Pressing on that arrow also reveals a drop-down box, with an option to "Unsubscribe from Thread." Pressing that will ... well... unsubscribe you.
Again, this works on any thread you are no longer interested in following. After unsubscribing, you'll see no more updates.
But wait, there's more! The odds are also that you've got the forum set to send you an e-mail every time a change is made to a post you made (and new posts = a change). Take a look at your forum settings (the link is, again, at the top, titled "Settings"). Once you click on that link, on the left side, scroll down to General Settings (under "My Account"). Click on that link and then, on the right side, scroll down until you find a box titled "Default Thread Subscription Mode." That also has a drop-down link and you can select whether you want to receive e-mails automatically or not.
Hope this helped. Yeah, you posted before, but your settings are what's making you see this thread over and over. Just modify the settings (or unsubscribe) and you'll be good to go.

Thank you, Marilyn. I'm sure that's exactly what I needed to know and I'll act accordingly. Regards, Peter White.
