Really too old to learn a lot of new stuff but have to deal with balancing my microsoft computers at home and work and an iphone4 and ipad2. Just want to be as productive as possible with all of these "tools".

Lots of help available. Start with the forum's search function if you're stuck, and chances are you'll find answers. If that doesn't work, create a new thread.

Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!
