Greetings, I'm from NEw Jersey USA. My whole life revolves around my horse farm, family,friends and electronics. I also snow ski, water ski, boating and fishing...yup that's it! I bought my iPad2 1 week ago. Loveing words with friends.. Need to find out best way to get gps. I don't like to get lost hauling a horse trailer around states.. Besides that I love it. I have the stood x. Not sure how the whole wifi thing works. Didn't get 3G;( might have been a bad move.

Welcome, congrats and all that other good stuff. But, yes, the actual accurate GPS is only available in the 3G version. The maps work okay on the wifi one, but it's not going to be as precise and, they won't do you any good, without a wifi hotspot.
