Good Morning All,

I am a new IPAD 2 owner from San Diego CA. Picked one up at the Apple store for my wife over the weekend. She really wanted one and I was on the fence about getting one for myself. After playing with it over the weekend I fell in love with it and will be purchasing one for myself in the next couple of weeks.

A couple of questions;

1. We both have old IPODs and share an ITunes account for music and video. Since we will both have IPADs, would it make sense to continue sharing the account or should she get her own? I am thinking yes since email would be under my name for both IPADs.

2. If we do get seperate accounts, would any apps purchased on the IPADs be downloaded into ITunes in a seperate library under each name or would they display in a central library that we could both manually sync to the IPADs?

I've got an iPad and my kids have 2 iPods and we are all under one account in my husbands name. It makes it easy for us because Im sure that more than one account doesn't allow the same apps therefore buying double but I'm sure someone will agree/disagree with me soon. We all have different songs( playlists), apps etc...

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

I saw your questions and Hayley's great reply. It might also be worth reposting those questions in the Help section of the Forum because relatively few established members visit this section, so it will probably get better attention there.
