I travel a fair bit and like to read my newspapers that I subscribe to with ipad apps.
This way I don't get dirty hands from newspaper and always have the news source I want.
Of course on the plane, can't get on to the net.

I subscribe to The Times and The Sunday Times, their apps allow me to start the downloading process while I'm in the bathroom in the morning then read them later even without an Internet connection although you do miss a bit of the interactivity when there is no connection.Originally Posted by Ayrshire
I also tried The Sun but not very impressed with the actual presentation, looked like a scanned copy of the actual newspaper so a bit too big and clumsy to read on the iPad.
The Sun is free and both flavours of The Times are £1 for the first month so worth giving them a try.

Thanks so much. I didn't realize I could do that.
It's the london times I wanted too.
Brilliant !!!
I think those two Times apps are two of the most fantastic looking apps I have, they look really, really good, well worth the subscription fee.

I prefer the same "inky, crispy" experience of a newspaper on the ipad. There are some great apps these days for that authentic newspaper experience for reading offline. If you google for "voato newspapers" you should find some suggestions - hope they help!
The Guardian is pretty awesome too, and supports offline reading.

I'll add a vote for The Times & Sunday Times, I find them to be astounding to read online and offline, the layout of them is fantastic.
