    Hi from sunny Hampshire (UK)

    Hi,
I'm retired and live in the south of England. I'm into photography, mainly landscape, and because of my background in the computer industry (started on analogue computers in the late 60s) I thoroughly enjoy the digital darkroom aspects. I also do a bit of woodwork but this has reduced recently to mainly making frames/mounts etc for my wife who paints, and for the odd photo that I might print and even, on occasions, sell!

Unfortunately I'm a dyed in the wool Windows man, having worked with PCs since the beginning - first DOS, then IBM OS/2 then Windows.

I have just purchased an 16G 3g iPad 2 and I'm really struggling with the change of mind set that's needed to work with the iPad! So I am hoping to get some help from your excellent fora, and perhaps help others as my knowlege improves!

    Regards,
    RzB

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

I'm in not-quite-so-sunny Scotland, though it's not too bad. Like your avatar...

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

Lots of photo apps on the AppStore.
Ones I like are Photogene, Filterstorm fx, Retouch, Photo FxUltra and 100cameras. Another good app for organising your albums souls Photo Manager pro.

Lovely part of the world Hampshire. Best of all no midges!
