    Smile I'm a Mac

Well I'm one of the lucky ones to be sitting here typing on my new iPad 2. *I'm kind of a Mac nut with 4 desktops, a laptop, iPhone, iPod, and an AppleTV2. *

Im a Music Producer and Teacher, and one of the main uses for my iPad2 is to utilize iBooks to store and quickly view many PDF books. *I have thousands of pages grouped into a handful of books in ibooks and viewing them is super fast and they look great. *I often need to email only a page or two from a PDF book to a client or student, but I've just learned that when emailing PDFs from iBooks, you can not set a page range. *Although you can set a page range when printing. *I'm wondering if anyone has found a workaround or another app that would solve my problem.

    ???

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

I have read somewhere about the solution to the problem of emailing just a range of pages but cannot recall how at present. I will consult my notes and get back to you.

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

    It’s free too.

Take screen shots (hold top and bottom buttons at the same time) and email those?
Clunky but would work for small numbers.

Thanks for the screen shot idea! I'm sure I will get some use out of the workaround. I still would like to know if there is an app that would allow me to create and email a page or page range from a PDF book stored on my iPad2. Most of my documents are of sheet music and the screen shot workaround doesn't give me near the quality for staff lines that a PDF does. I've done some research on the app store but I would love to get a recommendation for something by someone who has done what I'm trying to do.
    Thanks!

I got nothing simple, but maybe this clinky workaround will help.

Take a look at Note Taker HD. You can import PDFs direct into it, either by e-mailing them, using Dropbox or by putting them in via iTunes. Then, you can edit those pages by deleting the ones you don't want (I don't remember if the app lets you copy the pages you want ... I just know you can delete/rearrange pages).

Then, you can e-mail that file to whomever (or save it via Dropbox or iTunes).

Yeah, like I said, it's clunky, especially is you have a many-paged PDF. But, that's all I got.

Thanks Marilyn. Yet I do have very large PDF books with hundreds of pages of sheet music. I have no problem selecting a page range to print but I need a quick way of emailing a couple print quality page. Still lookin'.
