REMINDER To all posters in this thread, past, present and future:
This is not the thread to ask questions about how to do something on the iPad. It is a place for you to post a tip or trick you discovered that you want to share with the rest of the forum. Of course, others may ask a question about a posted tip to get clarification.
But, if you have a question about the iPad, not a tip, (and a search of the forum does not answer it), please start a new thread in the appropriate area.
Thank you for your understanding.

As a new iPad user, this thread has been priceless. Page Zipper is genius. Thanks all for your help
This is day 5 of having my new iPad, and I've just finished reading all these tips. I've cut and pasted, print screened and bookmarked loads of really useful tricks. Hopefully in a few weeks I might be able to add the odd tip myself.

I have a neat tip. I don't know if its been mentioned already, but I don't want to have to read through all 96 pgs, so here it is.
Have you ever been listening to music on your iPad, and then put it to sleep, only to have the music keep playing? You actually don't have to unlock the iPad and open the Music app to pause the music, skip tracks, and adjust the volume via the slider. On the lock screen, tap the home screen twice in rapid succession. Near the top of the screen, where the time and date would normally be displayed, you will now see the music player controls.
