You can set that so that if you triple-click your Home button, you can turn on reverse screen (white on black).
    Thanks.

That is really cool. I did not know about that.

I can now imagine thousands of iPad users madly shaking their tablets !

First of all make sure you have the latest version of iTunes on your PC then connect your iPad and backup everything. Your apps will not disappear and yes the backup should take care of everything. I will include other links below which have other links within them which will show you how to backup. Good luck!

When you are typing hold down the comma key until the apostrophe appears and release it, the apostrophe will be inserted, no need to slide your finger up to the apostrophe to insert it, just hold until it appears and release.

I'll repeat this one here as I haven't seen it in the longest time...when typing and going from letters to numerals and back again, you can avoid having to hit the ABC tab constantly. When you place your finger on the 123 tab (the keyboard changes to numerals) keep your finger on the screen and slide to the number or symbol you want and when you lift your finger the keyboard will revert back to the letter keyboard automatically. So much easier!!

To get the apostrophe quickly, I use a sort of flick motion on the comma/exclamation button and it will give you an apostrophe. This is quicker than touching and waiting for it. It takes practice.
