Speaking of keeping the iPad's screen pristine, I've found that iKlear does a terrific job of cleaning the iPad's Oleophobic glass as well as reducing future Angry Birds finger print tracks!
Amazon.com: Klear Screen iKlear iPod, iBook & PowerBook Cleaning Kit: Electronics
Unlike a typical glass cleaner it acts more like a glass "wax". Spray it on, rub it around and polish it up. It not only cleans off the cruft but helps keep prints to a minimum, allowing those that do accumulate to be wiped off much easier. Highly recommended for those with a bad Cheetos habit.
P.S. Only use this product on glass screens...it'll make a mess of anything else.
I'd be careful if spraying anything onto the tablet, due to the various access points Fluids and other gunk might penetrate and cause damage, far safer to spray onto the clothe then apply.Originally Posted by richsadams
Back in the day, my older brother was a radio and Tv engineer. early multiple channel (all six of them - boy I'm old)) Tv sets would change channel by themselves as if by magic, due to 'Mr Sheen' going where no polish should go, shorting out the contacts.
bit more alarming on some sets that had the earlier solenoid driven selector (forerunner of the remote control) as nobody was very savvy back then, it would suddenly ratchet scaring the daylights out people who often called Police or even Priests who blamed 'spiritual apparitions'. I suspect especially after coming back from the Sunday pint lol!

I guess we all really know, but I think we need a reminder that restarting solves so much. Whether it is an app, your iPad, your computer (to fix an iTunes problem), or your modem or router, sometimes we have to try them all.
You are correct! Here's more info:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
Note the differences between "restarting" and "resetting". Generally a restart will take care of things. A reset is applicable when an iPad freezes up (quite rare, but it can happen).
(The "sleep/wake button", AKA the "Home button"; the round button on the face of the iPad.)Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
FWIW I've probably restarted my iPad twice in almost a year and a half of fairly heavy use and both times were due to an app acting up.
Thanks for the tip and enjoy!
