    If you'd looked a bit closer in the box you would have seen a card. One side was a picture of the iPad and the various buttons. The other were links and directions on how to get to the manual, minus the dead tree.

    Agreed, the card should be harder to overlook.

    Guys, the tips and tricks mentioned in nearly all the above posts works fine and they are really helpful if you try to use them on a daily basis. Thanks a lot.

    When you connect the ipad to a computer with usb connection it shows that it's not charging. However, I noticed it is still slow charging the battery. Try it.

    Yes, it's not enough to trigger the charging status but enough to trickle charge the Tablet.

    I need an app that makes the battery last longer. I think that's called the off button. haha
