Welcome to all of you to our forums regarding using in nz yes however wifi access is restricted to Mac donalds and maybe locations in the capital cities. You could buy a myfi external 3G modem for around $100 then purchase. 3 g card for one month from vodaphone. This unit can also be used in USA

Welcome. Boy do I know that experience, excited and frustrated at the same time about my ipad. But you do get over the frustration part. I promise.

I found the manual not quite useless, but almost. I learned a lot from trial and error and swearing. Trust me, it was like a pms fest. And I'm ok with the keyboard finally, but just barely.

For me, first thing I had to do was get my mail font size set where I could not be having to enlarge the screen itself so much. That was some of the first cutdown on frustration.

My husband had his given to him so he had a head start on me and he had aleady played with how to make it more comfortable. He bought a lap desk from online, but he also made one outta cardboard that is just as good. Yep, cardboard. And having that helped me relax cuz I wasn't figuring out how to old it, etc. It's funny when you first get an ipad, it's the small things like that too.

You may feel you have to know everything before you play or experiment with apps. You really don't. What I did first was download the free app for Kindle and started reading books. That and the netflix app for movies. That strangely helped me do all the other tech stuff. Don't ask me to make that make sense. Plus, I'm still learning.

Don't know what else I can say cept hang in there. It does get better. Get yourself a case for it before you toss that bugger across the room. lol.

    Smiles
    Ruth

Hi from a newbie. My 1st apple product and it's an ipad!! Lots to learn. Been a PC owner for 29 yrs and a blackberry owner for 2. Just retired as staff development manager and taught many many nurses how to use computers to document their patient care. Started off yesterday with a bit of a bump in the road by having to bring back the iPad. Now I can't connect to charter for my email despite downloading the charter apps. But I am not giving up. As soon as this posted I will continue to search for answers. Thanks all gotta go .... It's ti e to "play"

Hello, I have had my iPad for 2 weeks now. It is very hard for me to put it down. It's amazing how much technology is packed into such a slim and sexy device. It's the best purchase I made this year.

Hi from Missouri, I have had my iPad 32gig for 2 weeks and I love it so far, hubby thought I was crazy when I told him I could use it for work and now he believes me now. I'm a photographer by the way.
