I have to defend him here. Many of us who aren't very technically savvy (at least I am not) had no idea of how prominent flash is in todays' applications. I'll get used to it and am still glad I bought the iPad but I gave up many options I had before, probably more options than I ever anticipated.

First of all, welcome to the forum.

As far as the multi-screen thing, there is a new app I just got last week that allows you to split your iPad screen into as many as 4 separate browser screens.

Here is a link to the post elsewhere in the forum that talks about it --

An app to turn one iPad into several iPod touches

I don't know if it will work with your particular application with the bank, but it is worth taking a look at.

Thank you, had no idea. I'll get it once I'm home. Sounds promising for what I need it for. However, why the age 17 warning? Also, why the numerous warnings about sexual content, mature audiences, etc? I assume it relates to the internet itself, right? Seem very strange of a warning for an application that simply multiplies a browser which the iPad already has?

The bluetooth headset that will work with the iPad has to have the A2DP capability. Google that and you will see lots of them.

    Hi,

    I'm Stephy,

I already have an Iphone 4 and Mac Book Pro. I guess I'm on the forum to try and see if it's really worth buying an iPad?

Will it really change the way I work or play?

    Thanks!
What am I doing here? I should be living in New York!

Its the same warning that is on the Atomic Browser and some other apps. Steve Jobs promised us that the iPad would be "family friendly" but IMHO, as much as I enjoy my iPad, I think this is a cheap shot by Apple in the hopes that it will cause people to think twice about downloading some other browser besides Safari.

I see, thanks it makes sense.

Well, I purchased the app on iTunes on my desktop computer thinking I'd sync my iPad and get to check it out. Well, that was some 3 1/2 hours ago and I'm about halfway done in backing up the iPad.

I forgot I rented some 4 movies and purchased another 3 or 4 a week or so ago. I've had them on my iPad ever since but every time I connect my iPad to iTunes the damn things does a full backup which takes for ever (because of the many movies). I got the correct cable, using the high end USB port, etc... It's the sheer amount of movies that are being unnecessarily backed up as they're already on the desktop iTunes. I've tried to bypass backing up by clicking on sync instead - nah, goes right back to backing it up first...

I guess in a day or so I'll tell you how I like the app. I have to say that syncing my iPad is what I dislike the most.

I just finally got back into the ipad forum because I forgot my password - I finally figured out how to change my password. I hope that I can log back in. I have kept my unlimited 3G access. The most that I have used in a month is 1.9 g. I will continue keeping it until the 4.2 OS is released in November sometime. I would like to try tethering sometime, but that's not normal function for the iPad. I have been using my iPad mostly for Internet browsing, email, Twitter, Netflix and maps.

I have the iPad great for listening to podcasts both audio and video. I can sit on the front porch or at the picnic table out back and enjoy. I have retired about 10 months ago and I only had access to a laptop from work ( turned in with my ID and keys). I have the use of an older laptop on loan from one of my sons. I had set money aside to purchase a laptop, but when the iPad was announced I pre-ordered a 3G model. I do have a Mac desktop and with the portability of the iPad, the loaner laptop is not used very much. I download pictures directly into my iPad and sync them with iPhoto on my Mac. I wish Adobe Flash was on my iPad for streaming some audio and video, but I have enough functionality without it. The VGA connection works great to display video and pictures on a larger screen that has that pc input. Also the component cables from Apple work as well. In some ways the iPad will not replace you MacBook Pro laptop. For instances Numbers for spreadsheets on the iPad is very cumbersome !

Hello All... bought the 64GB Wi-Fi version for my B-day back in April and totally love it. Didn't think the 3G would be of much use, but after several business trips I upgraded to the 64GB Wi-Fi with 3G.

I'll have to do a search on the forum, but looking to see what a good price will be for the Wi-Fi version.
