Hi, I'm a first grade teacher in Texas that's piloting iPads and iPod touches in my classroom this year.
I'm mostly a PC guy but I got this new iPad 2 for Christmas and need some help figuring the ways to make it act like a PC. Seriously, though - I know that it isn't a computer but I'm used to being able to save, drag/drop between programs, upload stuff from external media and other routines that I've been doing for years and will need some help. That's why I'm here. Not that it's important, but my username is "ell"beck not "eye"beck. Most other forums where I frequent mistake the lower-case l for an upper-case I, but I'm used to it.

Welcome. Good to know about the I vs the l. This also clears up any confusion that you might be Glen Beck.
I got over the fact that the iPad is not a computer, the second I began enjoying
its ease of operation. It's my McPuter.

I got a 16 GB iPad for Christmas a year ago and I use it for reading books. I have two Bibles and some books from Project Gutenberg in iBooks.
