Hello, Forum members. I joined a few days ago, after reading dozens of posts. I'm trying to play the iPad version of Lego HP Years 1-4, and I'm not too skilled at video games.
Prob. 1: I have been stuck in the Forbidden Forest at a point BEFORE the Red Mushrooms appear, for DAYS now. I have replayed the level at least 25 times, watched many YouTube videos, and even printed out the text Walkthrough of DS Lego HP That one of you so thoughtfully recommended. But, nowhere have I seen advice for my little problem; I.e., what to do if one cannot get the Red Mushroom trail to appear at all?
Prob. 2: I've tried playing in Freeplay mode, in order to gain more abilities, but the game keeps sending my character back to the Room of Requirement instead of into Freeplay mode, which is Unlocked, according to the screen. So, is something more required than just completing a Chapter in order to Freeplay it?
I would be most grateful for any guidance someone can supply.

"Desperately Seeking the Red Mushroom Trail"

There is a red mushroom on both sides of the beginning of the trail you need to walk through. Make sure that you find the hooting owl and touch it for more points. It took me a while to catch on. Also the second those little red dots jump up and turn into people, spin your character around. They will fall over and you can kill them quicker.

Tried many times today and yesterday to find the right trail with Red Mushrooms, but still get nowhere. Screen blacks out, and displays this message from Harry: "I think we took a wrong turn. Maybe we should follow the trail of red mushrooms?". The only red thing I ever see is a character that attacks mine to death unless my character destroys it. After so many rounds like this, the whole game quits. Could there be something wrong with my copy/version of this game?

I see you have already past this stage and was wondering how exactly you did? I follow the marker on screen but nothing happens! Just wondering if you can tell me how you did it...

Hi, Kafza. The only advice I have on doing the Wingardium leviosa spell is to follow the pattern slowly and try to copy it exactly. Make sure you follow through to the end point, without going beyond it. Let me know if this helps or not.

I'm having exactly the same problem as you.. Keeps taking me back to room of requirement or booting me out entirely... Really not sure what needs to be done here.. Did you ever get past this in the end??
