Plug it in to the charger and wait for a while. If the battery charge is to low, it take a few minutes to for it to build up enough charge to wake up.

Your iPad is new thus you can call apple care to properly address the issue. What made me notice is when the other person suggested to remove the battery. You are kidding right? The answer to every issue is not to reset, unplug or even funnier remove the battery.

Charge it up abit, the p,ug in into ur computer, it may ask ypu to restore it. If not look on here how to put in into recovery mode

the first thing you do on any battery operated appliance it to charge it.

You cannot remove the battery on a ipad iPhone or iPod. Hold down power button and home button and wait until apple logo appears. Have you installed iTunes on your computer and launched it then connect the iPad to your computer? The battery may need charging. Wait 20 minutes then try again
