Safari hanging for google and some other sites suddenly

Hi, I have been using iPad for just a couple of months and have had no issues. Over the last couple of days safari has just hung when I try to access google and some other sites. I can get google okay on my laptop. I tried reinstalling an app I had recently bought, and then rebooting. That worked once but now the problem is back. Could this app have corrupted something?

Safari hanging for google and some other sites suddenly

There are a couple of things you can try whenSafari appears to be slowing.

The first one is to go to the Safari tab in your Settings app and clear your cookies and history. Then, if that doesn't help, try fully closing Safari down and then restarting or resetting the iPad (or both). To do (apologies if you know):

Fully Close an App: Double tap the Home button (or do a 4-finger swipe up) to reveal a row of icons in the multi-tasking bar. Press and hold an icon until they all start to wiggle and you see a red circle with a minus sign ("-") in the top left. Press the minus sign to fully close the app. Don't worry, it won't remove the app from your iPad, just from the iPad's resident memory.

    Then...
Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears.

If that doesn't help, try this last step...

Reset: Hold both the power and home buttons until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo then appears (the slide to unlock screen may or may not appear). Once the logo appears, release the buttons. After a time, your homescreen will appear. Please note that it may take some time for the Apple logo to appear or for your homescreen to appear (or both). This is normal. Eventually, the homescreen will appear.

Hopefully, some of this will help. Oh, and no, installing another app won't affect how Safari runs. Apps can't interact with each other as they can/do on a laptop or desktop.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Have tried all you suggested but still getting the problem. Strange that it just started happening;can't think of anything that has changed. Guess I'll just have to use my laptop for some sites. Thanks anyway.
