Owner of iPad, (wonderful!) and now Apple Mac (husband's hand-me-down ) I use both for work, study (post-grad) & play. Bit of a dinosaur when it comes to IT - mostly leave it to himself.

Only had the Mac yesterday, & can see enormous value, but bit frustrated when what used to be automatic with PC doesn't work on Mac, (eg right click on mouse doesn't do anything, can't seem to select multiple photos to print, & images are cropped when I select 5x7 photo print etc) but I'll get there!

I'm also new to Forums & I don't understand some of the jargon that's used - not sure what 'tags' & 'trackbacks' do for example, but I'm sure I'll learn once I get started. I have resisted "Social networking" except for family & close friends, and for a small group of colleagues on our private page - although I am about to start a blog on my website, how adventurous can I get? Life's too short, and there's much more important stuff to be doing with my time (like learning how to use the Mac so I can get on with my Uni stuff!)

As for your questions I'm almost embarrassed to say that I don't know what track back does either but tags are words that can be used to help in searches, so you might have a question about printing to an Epson printer and the tags could be "print", "Epson" and another with the model number of the printer.

For using your Mac you might want to check out our sister forum appleforums.net where hopefully you will get the assistance to solve your issues.

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.

Remember, search is your friend. If you can't find the answer you need and you post a question then give as much info as you can to help members help you i.e. iPad 1 or 2, etc. and iOS version and name of app if the problem is with a specific app........and please don't forget to read the forum rules Forum rules - everybody please read!!
