It'll only restore your Apple apps data. iTunes doesn't backup Cydia/jail break stuff.
Which is why, for the future, it's best to do backups both in iTunes and with a backup product such as PKGBackup. Yes, it's expensive, but that one time you need it = money well spent...
Hi, I would like to upgrade my iPad which is currently running 3.2.1 to 4.3.3. Would it be possible to use the same procedures?
Please note that you must - repeat MUST - have SHSH blobs for iOS 4.3.3 in order to upgrade to it (and then jailbreak it). If you don't have these blobs, your only upgrade is to iOS 4.3.5.
I did it!!! My beloved iPad now runs 4.3.3 with all my configurations intact!! YAY!!!!
Always glad to read/hear of a success story. Thanks for the update.
Hi, I'm currently running 4.2.1. The only IOS available for upgrading in iTunes is 4.3.5.
Is it possible to upgrade my jailbreak 4.2.1 to 4.3.3 without loosing my saved data
As it says right above, only with saved blobs. Otherwise, no.
Plugged it in but TU doesnt detect it at all so i am unable to press "Save SHSH". I did not save my blobs locally prior to this due to procrastination. Further i have not paid attention to the list of saved blobs when in Cydia so i dont know what blobs i have in Saurik's server, but i'm sure there is at least one.
Is there any other way i can make TU to detect my device so i can get the blobs downloaded, before i proceed to restore the iOS? Will putting my ipad in DFU mode allows TU to detect it?
Or should i just proceed with itunes restore to 4.3.5 first, get the iOS up and running, only then attempt to get the blobs using TU as per the above guide?
I try to downgrade my IPAD 2 + 3G + WI-FI 32GB version 4.3.5 but i get a error 3194 and it fails so i can not jailbreak it.
I have try two different versions but without any success
4.3.4 - http://appldnld.apple.com/iPhone4/04...2_Restore.ipsw
4.3.3 - http://appldnld.apple.com/iPhone4/04...2_Restore.ipsw
I hope some one can help me to solved the problem.
Thanks a lot.
