About LinkBacksThe person before had Iwork and it was registered to the ipad serial number. When I restore the ipad to use it again will I get to keep the iwork???

It is registered to the lady's apple account and not the serial number of the ipad?

All apps are associated with the account they were purchased with. There is no way to transfer those apps to a new account.
It's only $9.99 if you want the app. If you don't need all the features in Pages there are other options, some cheaper.
