Thank you! This worked for me and was so simple! I was able to make a slideshow from the emailed photos I added.

    Thumbs up

This worked for me and so simple! I was able to make a slide show from the photos. Thank you!

The only thing I would add is to be sure you save in the order you want them to be chronologically, as I added them iin the random order they came in the emails, and I couldn't figure out a fast way to reorder them the way I wanted in the album other than to delete and then to add back one at a time in the right order.

Great advice. I even added music.

Concerning your specific question, simply start an email on your computer, attach the desired photos (assuming that the email program you are using allows that option?), and then send the email to yourself. Once the email has been sent, open the Mail app on the iPad (again assuming that you have set of an account on the iPad for that particular email program you are using on your computer?); your photos should appear w/i that email - press and hold the image(s) and a pop up menu appears that will allow saving each to the iPad.

Please post back if the above is not clear or if you have further options - again, there are many other ways as outlined above to transfer photos to the iPad - good luck!

    (1) You can synchronise your iPad and PC using the iTunes software on your PC and you can select which photos/albums/folders that you want to copy.
    (2) If you only have a few photos to transfer, then you can email them from your PC to your iPad
    (3) You can use a third-party app, like GoodReader (see it in the iPad App Store) and that will allow you to copy photos from your PC to your iPad either using WiFi or the USB connection cable that came with your iPad
    (4) You can use a 'cloud storage' server, such as Apple's MobileMe iDisk or DropBox to transfer photos from your PC to the cloud storage and then you can download them from the cloud storage to your iPad. If you need to know more about cloud storage have a look at the Apple iPad website and look for MobileMe.
    (5) You can use the optional camera connection kit - this will allow you to transfer photos either from an SD memory card directly to your iPad or you can plug the connection kit directly into your camera and upload photos that way.

If you need further details about any of these methods, don't hesitate to contact us.

This works fine with an iPad 1 & 2 but not with an 3rd gen iPad. Is this an iTunes issue or a iPad issue?

iTunes version is 10.6.1.7 running under Windows 7. The issue seems to be with high resolution pictures, but I have no problem with these when syncing to an iPad 2.

I had the same problem. I used this technique which works for me.
    1. Make folder on your computer and add photos for transferring to the iPad. I named it for Ipad.
    2. Open iTunes.
3.After synching you will see your iPad.
    4. Click the iPad icon in iTunes.
    5. On the Right you will see the info for the iPad. On the right top summary, info etc and in the end Photos.
    6. Click the Photos section and window opens displaying Sync Photos from" in the box select Choose folder"
    7. In the new window select the folder you created in step 1. Which I had named for iPad
    8. Click Select folder and window closes and iTunes opens
    9. Click sync on the bottom right and your photos will be transferred to the iPad.
    10. I hope this helps you.

There is a free Photo Transfer App that you can use to transfer photos and videos to or from your PC or Mac to your iPad. Very simple and straight forward to use.
