    Pages keynote and numbers

    I downloaded pages and i love it. I know that with pages you can email the document as a .doc file for micros. Word. Can you do the same with keynote (email as PowerPoint) and numbers to excel? And can you open micro office files and edit them on the iPad apps?

    From Numbers you can not export in excel format.

    You can from the Mac desktop.

    Email the file to a friend with a Mac and have them convert to Excel and email it back.

    So you buy an iPad for $500 and send all of your productivity output to a third party in order to make the machine functional.

    Seems kinda counterintuitive with the development of new technology.
    Probably should have purchased 2 net books instead.

    No you build a dual boot Hackintosh out of your old PC crap and run Numbers the way it was meant to be run.
