About LinkBacksI downloaded pages and i love it. I know that with pages you can email the document as a .doc file for micros. Word. Can you do the same with keynote (email as PowerPoint) and numbers to excel? And can you open micro office files and edit them on the iPad apps?

From Numbers you can not export in excel format.

Export options from Numbers on Mac
You can from the Mac desktop.

So you buy an iPad for $500 and send all of your productivity output to a third party in order to make the machine functional.
Seems kinda counterintuitive with the development of new technology.
Probably should have purchased 2 net books instead.
