    incorrect email given by mistake when creating Apple ID

    Hi Guys, I have by mistake given incorrect email as my userid and the login confirmation mail has gone to that ID, could you please advise what can I do to deactivate the ID so that there is no misuse of my Credit Card.

    Please help!!

    Go to http://appleid.apple.com

    Log in and manage your account from there. I don't know whether you can deauthorize an email address there, but it's one place I'd start.

    Thanks Kevin, it did work, I just panicked ! Thanks , all seems to be fine now, however I wonder why was I charged $1.00 , when I setup the account.
    Does apple charge anything to setup an account?

    Glad that worked. You should get your $1 back. That's just to test the credit card and make sure it exists, from what I can make out. There is no charge for setting up an account.
