I am experiencing difficulties moving big files 400+MB between apps using "open in" feature. Is the any restriction for that?

I do not know of any restrictions, but if you are running low on storage that could affect things. You are duplicating the file every time you use Open In, so if you don't clean it out of the originating app as a habit (if it is no longer needed there), big files could eat up your storage fast.
