You did a full replacement installation and not an over the air delta update. Apple should allow you to chose whether or not to do an update or a full install in a future version of iTunes.

Which one should be using, the wifi update or PC update?
The wifi OTA update is very fast. Took me 5 minutes
They result in the same thing in the end
Same here. One of the Benifits of IOS 5 is the OTA update feature.
Me too. Done in 5 minutes. Haven't experienced any problems with it yet.
Do I have to sit backup my data on cloud , and then install update from iPad , and then restore from cloud ? Or I can directly install update on iPad ..
In billion of people not even one for me ????
If you already upgraded to iOS 5, all you have to do is update over wi-fi from iPad: Settings> General> Software Update > follow directions. No restoring or backing up needed.
I did six iDevices. Took about 10 minutes each.
Just make sure you device is charged up, or that you plug into a power source. One of my devices had about 40 percent juice, and it would only download the update, and not install till plugged in.
Yepper, do the Wi-Fi update. Took me 10 min. and no problems.
6 mins here on wifi.
Greetings from paradise,on my iPad
