After getting iOS 5, I realized something that I hadn't in the past: lines on the "minimize keyboard" button. Does anybody know if this was there before, or if it means something? Thanks. 😄 I attached a screenshot, too:

Hold your right thumb on them and slide the keyboard up and down. Tons of fun for the whole family...

Remember, there is rarely any harm in experimenting with your iPad. If you see something, give it a prod, poke, or a drag and see what happens! You will often get a pleasant surprise...

The lines mean the key is draggable. Drag upward you can undock and split the keyboard. You can then use the key to move it up and down the page (to get it out of the way of whatever you are typing), or drag it back to the bottom to dock and merge the keyboard. Tap and hold gives you various options depending on the keyboards current mode.

Thanks for the dragging tip! Didn't know that holding the keyboard key allows u to drag it even when it's split. Was big pain for me because kept getting in the way. Thanks again!
