plastic panel on my Cellular Ipad mini.. looks a little loose?

Hi everyone.

I've had the 64gb Ipad mini with Cellular LTE for roughly 6 months now. I love how the chamfered edge is almost seamless with the glass screen. My Ipad being a cellular version though, it has a plastic panel at the top.

I've noticed that this plastic panel is not as seemless as the glass, and theres a small gap that i can push a fingernail through.

I have dropped it before... but it was in a protective case and the dropwas from less than 2 feet.

Anyone else out there with the same issue? Is it normal?
