OK! But my Ipad does not even show up in Itunes when plugged in ?
I have read that I can upgrade to Snow Leopard and it will work? Is this true
Or do I have to upgrade 3 or more Operating systems before it works ?
Any help would be so greatly appreciated!!

According to the tech specs at Apple.com you need OSX 10.6.8 which is indeed Snow Leopard.

What version of iTunes do you have?
If find it odd you know to upgrade your OS for this.... Never had to do that on windows and don't see why it is needed on OS X. Also, apple claimed iTunes 11 was needed to use the mini, but that was not true.
