Apple smart cover is ok..i got one but to protect the back,i bought capdase backcover. They both fit like a glove and im happy with the combination

Where was the Portenzo Hard Back ordered from? I haven't heard of this cover type and curios what it looks like.

Portenzo cases can be ordered directly from portenzo.com. They are custom made and allow a lot of selections. The hard back is the smallest form factor and does not add too much weight and size to the mini

Tons of back covers out there, but I'd stick with the tried and true rather than buying off brands. I picked up a Caudabe mini shell off of Amazon and it keeps the smart cover on and all that jazz. I'm good to go.
