I am a new user of Ipad 3, brought from China. I live in NE India. I use 3G for data connection. BSNL prepaid microsim was activated last month and recharged with RS 250,350,750,100,and online 750 plus 100 successively as there was no data connection. Somehow it became OK. Still most of the time signal showed Edge not 3G. Unsatisfied, I have used reliance prepaid SIM after cutting it down but no better data tansfer. I have recharged the BSNL microsim with Rs 750 online, but the message tells me I have no cellular data plan. I have rechrge with R100 topup+ Rs 100 RCV through lappu but the same message is there. I cannot check my balance in IPAD. Please suggest me how to recharge and how to check my balance in ipad.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

I've recently changed my carrier for my iPad sim and needed to get in touch with my carrier to activate my sim while it was in my iPad. Maybe this might be the best idea for you too. I've also heard others in India only being able to connect with Edge.....once you have your sim working try turning Airport (in Settings) on and off as this can jump start your iPad for a better connection.
