If I create new albums on my iPad, when I sync with my computer (using itunes) those albums are emptied.
Very frustrating.
Any idea how to maintain those albums or, better yet, recreate those albums on the computer?

Also, how do I sync photos taken with iPad or iPhone to my computer? there doesn't seem to be an option to pick up "Photo stream" or "camera roll."

I have an old iBook that is not capable of running Lion. Can't afford an upgrade right now. So, i can use icloud between iphone and ipad, but not with the computer.

Hi there...I don't have an iBook, but a windows PC...so my directions won't be of any help.

I checked the Apple Support site and there is a good link to help you Import your pics from your iPad to your Mac. I am not certain about the customized albums syncing correctly to your Mac, maybe others can help you on that one.
